Brrr it’s cold outside. This is the time of year you want to be checking on your hot tub. It’s a good plan to lift the lid if you haven’t used it in a while to ensure there is adequate water, there is power to the tub, the water is warm and everything is circulating.
Too often we get calls this time of year that the GFCi has tripped or there is no heat to the tub and no one has been in the hot tub for a while so haven’t checked it and then whamo, things start to freeze.
Get in the habit of listening for the pump to poll (checking water temperature) or when it’s filtering. This way you can simply listen and know that all is good with the hot tub. Not to say that the heater is working….you actually have to lift the lid to check on the temperature of the water.
