Have you developed a small red rash (like little pimples) after using the hot tub??? You may have folliculitis. An infection of the hair follicles.
Many people use their hot tubs and unfortunately don’t check the sanitizer amount frequently enough. Fiolliculitis most often happens when the water you are soaking in is undersanitized.
I often have clients state that they developed a rash and blame it on the bromine/chlorine. The are half right however it’s not the bromine/chlorine but lack of it in the water which allows the hair follicle to become irritated and infected leading to a rash. This rash can be quite itchy however try to refrain from scratching as it will heal more quickly if you don’t scratch. You can also use a topical cream or can go to your doctor to get a prescription to aid in getting rid of it. Most often it will go away on its own however if it lasts longer than 10 days I would recommend you see your doctor.
Always, always make sure that your hot tub is properly sanitized!
On a fresh fill you should also supplement your floating dispenser with bromine granules to ensure you have adequate PPM (in hot tubs 3-5PPM) in the water.
