Thinking about getting a pool and wondering what the options are:
Today there are a few different ways of manufacturing pools: concrete (gunite), fiberglass, steel walled with vinyl liner. All of these pools are built entirely in the ground to give you a very sleek look. These are the more expensive options in the order they were described above
On Ground pools – steel walled and vinyl lined – can be installed on top of the ground, partly in the ground with deck, all the way in the ground similar to an in ground pool. Can do a sand flat bottom or cement slopped bottom.
Above Ground Pools – Thin walled with vertical supports. Absolutely must have water in them at all times to stabilize.
Basically I’ve described the above in a ‘good’ (AG) ‘better’ on ground and ‘best’ in ground pool.
It really boils down to budget and look. We all have different budgets and options.
